Standards: the five C’s of Foreign Language
Communication communicate in languages other than English
Standard 1.2: Students engage in conversations, provide and obtain information, express feelings and emotions, and exchange opinions.
Standard 3.1: Students reinforce and further their knowledge of other disciplines through the foreign language.
Standard 3.2: Students acquire information and recognize the distinctive viewpoints that are only available through the foreign language and its cultures.
Standard 4.1: Students demonstrate understanding of the nature of language through comparisons of the language studied and their own.
Standard 5.2: Students show evidence of becoming life-long learners by using the language for personal enjoyment and enrichment.
Colorado Model Teacher Standards:
· Standard I: The teacher shall be knowledgeable about student literacy development in reading, writing, speaking, viewing, and listening.
o 1.2 Develop phonological and linguist skills related to reading including:
§ Phonemic awareness.
§ Systematic, explicit phonics.
§ Other word identification strategies.
§ Spelling instruction.
o 1.3 Develop reading comprehension and promotion independent reading including:
§ Comprehension strategies for a variety of genre

· Students will be applying their knowledge about Ud. and Uds
commands.
· Students will complete worksheets.
Evaluation (8-15 minutes)
· Teacher will have time to answer any question about the topic
· Students will highlighting word list that they do not understand
Expansion (10-20 minutes)
· Teacher will explain the new activity about the topic.
· Students will work to complete the activity
